Born 1984 in the famous Black Forest, Germany, Peter Hacker dived into the realm of postproduction at an early age, with his professional life taking shape in 2004 with a one-year internship at Stuttgart’s Postproduction company Unexpected GmbH followed by his full-time employment at the company. Separate and in addition to his work there, Peter worked on many short films prior to VFX supervising on the much acclaimed indie-feature ON EVIL GROUNDS.

In 2007 Peter went ahead to support his hands-on experience with academic studies at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, where he developed his passion for Digital Color Grading, majoring 2012 in Animation with special emphasis on Visual Effects.

After that he worked on the international Creature-Feature STUNG as Visual Effects Producer and Colorist, which led to focusing on Color Grading as his main business and building his own suite based in Ludwigsburg, as well as forming a strong relationship with Color Grading Software Company ASSIMILATE, where he is featured as official freelance artist.

Since then Peter has worked on over 700 projects and is booked by clients all over the world.
